Who We Are

Hello, we’re really glad you’re here! Welcome to Rooted Real Estate Group, a real estate group born from a desire to connect people to a sense of home, whether that’s a place, a building, a community, or simply a feeling.

We’re Dylon and Kayla, partners in life and in business. We started Rooted Real Estate Group after relocating to Vancouver Island in September 2025, marking the beginning of putting down roots in a place that quickly felt like home. Like many, we were initially drawn here by the Island’s natural pull; the expansive ocean views, moss and fern covered rainforests, waterfalls, and what feels like an endless number of lakes to swim in.

What we came to realize though, is that the most special part of Vancouver Island isn’t just the landscape, it’s the people and the communities within it. There’s a grounded, welcoming energy here. A sense of pride in place. Neighbours who care, small businesses with heart, and communities that value connection over hurry.

This page is our way of sharing that rooted feeling with you, from the nature and neighbourhoods to the hidden spots and the practical, sometimes overlooked details of life on Vancouver Island that actually matter.

Our approach to real estate is about helping people connect with what truly resonates. That might mean finding a home that supports the life you want to build, or helping you move on from a place that’s ready to hold someone else’s next chapter. For us, that includes paying attention to the details that shape daily life; schools and healthcare access, ferry and commute realities, neighbourhood events, local parks, seasonal considerations, and the long-term realities that don’t always show up in a listing.

We’re still learning this Island ourselves, and that’s part of what excites us. This is as much about shared discovery as it is about real estate. We look forward to growing here and alongside the people who feel drawn to this place, just as we did.
